Early Decision: TVB Goes to the DM - TKH is relegated
Already before the last matchday of the men's 1st Bundesliga North all decisions have been made in the indoor season 2021/22. While TV Brettorf qualified for the German Championships, as did host TSV Hagen 1860 and VfK Berlin, TK Hannover is the second team to be relegated after VfL Kellinghusen.
With a 5:1 (8:11, 11:3, 11:6, 11:8, 11:2, 11:3) victory in the derby against Ahlhorner SV, the fistballers of TV Brettorf not only took revenge in their own hall for the first leg defeat but also did their homework on Friday evening in the fight for the DM tickets. This forecast had the highest odds on the sites live betting. One day later, the black and white team received help from SV Armstorf. The team from the Cuxhaven district was not entirely unselfish in its duel against Leichlinger TV. With the 5:4 victory against LTV (11:6, 8:11, 3:11, 7:11, 11:6, 11:13, 11:8, 13:11, 11:9), which thus said goodbye to the DM race, Armstorf secured the class preservation. For TK Hannover, which was match-free at the weekend, the outcome of the match meant relegation.
The only thing still unresolved this season is who will secure the North Championship. VfK Berlin, who defeated the already relegated last team VfL Kellinghusen last weekend (11:3, 11:6, 11:3, 11:4, 11:7), is in pole position. TSV Hagen 1860, who was successful against SV Armstorf on Sunday (12:10, 11:4, 11:9, 11:3, 11:5), is two points and eight sets behind.
The decision will be made on the last match day in the district of Oldenburg. While TSV Hagen 1860 plays at Ahlhorner SV, top-ranked VfK Berlin plays at TV Brettorf. The other matches also take place in Lower Saxony. SV Armstorf receives VfL Kellinghusen, TK Hannover says goodbye to league one with a home match against Leichlinger TV.
