To attain the Distinguished level of marksmanship takes hard work in the form of quality repetition - also known as practice. Practice develops muscle memories for your hands, arms, shoulders, and  trigger finger. Practice also creates a learned visual sight picture. Both the muscle memory and sight picture are unique to the gun you are practicing with. In the case of the AR/M4 Service Rifle, daily practice would be with live ammo at a suitable range. Unfortunately, most of us are not on a military marksmanship team and do not have access to unlimited rounds of ammunition and daily training time at the 200 yard line. We have to make the most of every minute when we do get to practice.

It is no secret that one the best methods of practice in the off season is shooting an air rifle - to continue developing and maintaining your skills. However, compared to your Service Rifle, the fine points of muscle memory and sight visualization are not the same when practicing with a traditional air rifle. Hence, we decided to give you everything needed to use your Service Rifle as an air rifle.

Introducing the Crosman MAR177 PCP Conversion Kit. The kit allows you to use of your target AR/M4 as a PCP air rifle. This gives you a familiar feeling gun, with your learned sight picture and the same trigger pull to practice with. How can we do that? Half of the answer is already in your hands - your personal Service Rifle's lower receiver. The other half is the new MAR177 upper receiver that houses an air rifle action.

The MAR177 upper receiver was co-developed by Crosman and Pilkguns. The new receiver uses typical AR/M4 interchangeable components - allowing you to install the exact setup that you are currently using on your Service Rifle. The MAR177 is equipped with National Match ¼ minute rear sights and a top quality .177 Lothar Walther barrel.

Considering the price of match quality .223 ammo hovering around half a dollar a shot and the time and expense of going to a suitable range - you need to train smarter. The MAR177 allows you to inexpensively practice at your home range - in your basement, garage, or backyard. Shooting for pennies and using all that travel time for practice. And, most importantly - you are practicing with YOUR Service Rifle, making the most of your practice learned skills.

The MAR177 upper is placed on a standard AR/M4 lower - providing familiar weight, trigger, feel, and fit.

Recapping: The MAR177 PCP Conversion Kit replaces your existing AR/M4 style upper - converting the rifle to a PCP .177 caliber competition grade air rifle. The MAR177 upper is designed to support 10-meter match air rifle competition. It is also very well suited for those wanting to practice air rifle shooting and powder shooting with the same shooting platform. The air rifle upper offers AR/M4 shooting at a fraction of the cost of centerfire ammunition.

The gun features a removable 10-round rotary magazine, rifled and choked free floating Lothar Walther™ barrel, airstripper, carry handle, and a Picatinny rail system that accepts all mil-spec options for the sight system of your choice.
